My name is Aprill Jackson. Yes, I do have two L's in my first name. I am a senior, double majoring in Sports and Entertainment Marketing and Business Administration. I really like sand volleyball, I ref and play. I am also big into working out. Honestly I don't really have any fears with death. I am not scared of it. The only concern that I really have with death is watching people go through the dying process.
I think it is really neat how you don't have any fears concerning death. It sounds like you are very content with your life that you have lived which is an awesome quality to have.
I agree with your fear about the dying process, I witnessed people suffer and go through it and I would never want my loved ones to have to go through that pain.
I also agree with your concern about watching people go through the dying process, I can't imagine having to watch my loved ones suffer and not be able to do anything about it.
The dying process is something I can relate too. It is incredibly hard to lose a love one and watch them go through the process of losing all senses in a matter of months. Them forgetting who you are and not being able to talk all of a sudden is devastating.
Hello, My name is Laura Guenther. I am a sophomore nursing student. I enjoy any activity outside as well as photography. My fear with dying is leaving my little one without a mom to take care of him. Another fear is drowning, knowing that water surrounds you and no way to help yourself scares me a little.
I have the same fear about leaving my (future) children behind. I don't want my children to have to grow up without a mother and I don't want to miss out of milestones in their lives. I also have a fear of my (future) children dying before I do.
Drowning is definitely one of my biggest fears of dying. Not being able to breath is a terrifying thought and can keep yu away from doing things that are enjoying in life. So, at times even thinking about death and can a problem in peoples lives.

Hi, my name is Julie Estridge. I'm a sophomore majoring in nursing. I like basically anything to do with the outdoors including hunting and fishing. I also like to play tennis. I think one of my biggest fears about death is leaving my family and friends behind.
I think that its great that you like the outdoors and to fish and hunt. I love being outside also and fishing all though I never like to take the fish off the hook. I wish I could play tennis as well that's a fun sport.
I also love hunting and fishing! I grew up on a lake in the country so I grew up doing both often. I do not hunt much anymore since I got into college, however, I still fish as much as I can!
Hi, My name is Briana Appel. I am a sophomore nursing major. I am interested in sports, I like softball and volleyball the most. I really enjoy music and reading along with crime shows like 48 hours. I also have obsessions with One Tree Hill and Disney also pumpkins. I also like to swim. I actually have many fears when it comes to death, to be honest I have an anxiety issue which has to do with death and came about because of it. I am afraid of the unknown with what happens when we go, I am afraid of being in pain when it happens and I am afraid to leave my family behind. I am also afraid of seeing my loved ones pass and living without them.
I have the same fear as well, I am afraid of not knowing what there is after death. I also understand being afraid of leaving my family behind that scares me a lot. Also I really love crime shows too.
I can relate to where you are coming from with your fears with death. The thought of dying and not really knowing what happens when we die freaks me out a bit and gives me anxiety thinking about it. I'm also afraid of leaving my loved one behind.
Hello, my name is Kelly Simpson. I am a Freshman and my major is Nursing. I am interested in anything with nature and being outdoors. I am also very interested in music. I can play guitar and piano. My favorite tv show is Friends. My biggest fear about death is that I will be leaving behind family and friends. I also have a fear that if I die before I am old that I will miss out on all the amazing opportunities that life has to offer.
I think it's awesome that you can play the guitar and piano, I tried to learn both a couple years ago but didn't end up sticking with it. And I love that we're in the same major!
My name is Courtney Sallee, most people call me Court. I’m a sophomore in the nursing program. I live on a small farm in Rabbit Hash and I like doing pretty much anything outdoors, mostly hunting, fishing, riding horses and hiking. My biggest fear involving death is not living a meaningful life while I have the time and only realizing it when it is too late. Also I fear leaving behind all my friends and loved ones.
I like going fishing too!! I've never been hunting but my dad hunts a lot. I've been horseback ridding before but I'm kinda afraid that I'll get bucked off so I don't really like going. I have the same fear as you about not having a meaningful life.
My name is Brianna Wilbur. I am a junior biology major with a pre-med track, hoping to go on to become a pediatrician. I really enjoy hanging with my friends, going to concerts, and love exploring new things in the medical field. My biggest fear involving death is actually dying and not getting to live and experience life anymore. Also not being able to be with the people I love anymore.
Brianna, Dying and not being able to see your family and friends so such a depressing thought. Good luck with pre-med, when you become a pediatrician I hope I can work next to you as a Nurse.
Living life to the fullest is a concern of mine as well. There are so many things I want to do and experience before I die and not getting to some of those things is scary.
My name is Mamee Salzer. I am a senior graphic design major. I am also on the softball team where I pitch and play outfield. I also love the show Friends! I wouldn't say that I have a fear of death in the sense of what happens after you pass but rather I do have a fear of leaving the loved ones in my life behind and also living without those people in my own life.
Mamee, I adore your name, my grandmothers sister had the same name. I agree leaving people behind that you love is another aspect about death that I am not looking forward to. I wish you luck in the new softball season.
You bring up a very sad point about death that most of us aren't looking forward too, which is leaving our loved ones behind. It's hard to imagine what that thought process will feel like in the future, years down the road. I'm sure we will appreciate life itself even more.
My name is Emilie Warman. I am a sophmore nursing major. I work as a CNA at St Elizabeth in Florence KY. I enjoy outdoor activities like fishing, hunting and riding my horse Baby. I don't have a fear of death but more a fear of leaving behind my loved ones and of not living my life to to fullest before it's too late.
Hey Emilie! I can identify with your fear of not living your life to the fullest. I'm scared of dying young because I want to make sure that I do all the things I have planned, like having a big family, traveling the world, and writing a book.
I love the outdoors as well. I enjoy hunting and fishing but I've never gone horseback riding before but I'd like to try it one day. It seems like a lot of fun.
I also agree with your fear of not living your life to the fullest before it's too late. I am also fearful of dying at a younger age because I want the chance to accomplish my dreams and goals. I also hope that when it's my time to go that I can look back and think of a life well spent.
Hey, my name is Kaitlin Delape, but I go by Kait. I'm a sophomore nursing student. I like going to concerts, petting dogs at any chance I get, writing, and being with my friends and family. I think that the main reason I'm afraid of dying is due to the unknown of what happens after death. I don't know what is next for myself or for my friends and family that I will leave behind. I'm also afraid of dying before I have had a chance to do everything I want to do in life.
Hi!! My name is Kimberly Roundtree. I am a sophomore nursing student. I really like country and alternative/indie music. I love hanging out with my family and friends. I also like to play volleyball and go to Reds games! My biggest fear about death is not knowing for sure what happens after dying. It scares me not knowing what is going to happen to me and not knowing what will happen to my family. I hope that eventually I will not be afraid of dying.
I like that you brought up that you are scared of what happens after death. There is all this wonder about afterlife and no one knows. I am not scared of that per-say, however, I think that it is a great topic.

My name is Brandi Hunter. I am a junior biology major. I play soccer and lacrosse. I like to ski, go to concerts, be outside, and I love to shop. My biggest fear concerning death is leaving my friends and family behind as well as them leaving me behind. It scares me to know that I won't know what will happen to my family after I'm gone and I am also unsure how I would cope with losing a loved one and the thought of it scares me. I also wonder if death is painful.
I have a similar fear of leaving loved ones behind. The thought of not being able to comfort them I think is what scares me the most. I also think it's interesting that you're majoring in biology, I was a biology major for two years before switching my major. Biology is a hard, but interesting study.
Losing a loved one is another fear I have in the back of my mind. It makes me appreciate my family and friends even more when I think about it. I also hope my death isn't painful. Is that too much to ask for?
Hello, my name is Angel Wells. I am a nursing major. I work at a medical daycare called The Kida Club in Erlanger. I like spending time with my friends and family, summer, being outside and watching baseball games. My biggest fear concerning death is probably not knowing what will happen with my family and friends after I'm gone.
Onc ei saw that your interested in baseball i had to comment. Its nice to meet you! I also have that same kind of fear of not knowing what life will be like once im gone and if my friends and family will be okay.

I also realize I need to live life to fullest so I leave this place a happy man.
My name is Brandon Humphrey. I am a senior Business major with a concentration in Management. I am playing my ast baseball season as a saint starting in March. I have several interest like watching college football and going skiing during the winter. One of my biggest concerns regarding death would be not knowing what's to come after death such as where ill go and also not knowing if my family will be satisfied by the person ive become before leaving them. My name is Elise Duggins. I am a sophomore in the Nursing program. Some of my relevant interests would be playing soccer and working out at the gym. My biggest fear concerning death would be losing a very close loved one of mine.
Elise, I have lost some very close loved ones. I still share your fear. I have found that having open dialogue with loved ones about matters related helps me to be more comfortable. It seems to help them as well. I am happy to talk to you more about this if you so desire.
My name is Dustin Mitchell. I am a junior business major with a concentration in economics. Some of my interests include football, working out at the gym, and spending time with my beautiful fiance. One of my biggest concerns regarding death is going through a slow and painful death.
My name is Josie Perrino I am a junior forensics chemistry major. I like to play soccer, lacrosse, snowboard, and dabble in the art of binge watching shows on netflix. My biggest fear concerning death, either my own or a loved one, is leaving things unsaid.
Josie, I try to remember each time I am with loved ones that this may be the final moments I will spend with them. I tell them how I feel about them often and encourage them to speak openly with me about their lives and concerns regarding death.
I agree, being able to binge watch full seasons on Netflix is an art considering the amount of time spent on budgeting time around the show. Just like playing the last game of any sport's season, they say leave it all on the field. I feel the same way in life as well. Say what you feel/believe and leave it all in other's thoughts and memories.
My name is Michelle Kelley. I am a sophomore in the nursing program. I enjoy reading research and watching informational videos related to medicine and health promotion. I am also fascinated by psychology and human nature. My biggest fear concerning death is that the decisions about major medical care and end-of-life that seem so clear to me now will be difficult to execute when intimately confronted by them. These concerns are more related to my close family and friends than making decisions for myself.
My name is Allison Dutle I am a sophomore Nursing major. My interests would be anything sports related and being outside. My biggest fear surrounding death is that I will die without being able to sy goodbye.
Nice to meet you Allison! Being able to say good bye is a good way to get closure with those you love and yourself while coming to the realization that things are coming to an end. Definitely a hard part of the process of dying.
